JLSS Students in Germany

Five students from JLSS accompanied by Mr. Elie Mrad, trainer in our car mechanics department, travelled to Germany on Wednesday 30 May 2007. They participated in a youth consultation with the youth board of the Protestant Church in Baden. They joined another group from Theodore Schneller School - Jordan, lead by Mr. Mussa Al-Muneizel. They returned to JLSS on June 10, 2007. We express our sincere gratitude to Ms Kerstin Sommer and the Protestant Church in Baden for this very special opportunity for our students to broaden their knowledge and experience, through relating to youth in Germany and learning more about western culture. Such cross culture exchanges are very important for breaking boundaries between peoples across the world and removing preconceived stereotyped conceptions of the other. They are the best approach for teaching tolerance and understanding of other peoples, cultures, and faiths.
